Saint Peter, a strict vegan like all the other disciples of Jesus (excluding St. Paul, the self-proclaimed false apostle), is adamant that the slaughtering of animals displeases God, that it will please God if we abstain from the table of devils and do not taste dead animal flesh.
“And the things which are well-pleasing to God are these: to pray to Him, to ask from Him, recognising that He is the giver of all things, and gives with discriminating law; to abstain from the table of devils, not to taste dead flesh, not to touch blood....” (see Clementine Homilies 7.4)
"He then [God] who at the first was displeased with the slaughtering of animals, not wishing them to be slain, did not ordain sacrifices as desiring them." (see Clementine Homilies 3.45)
“They [the Apostles] embraced and persevered in a strenuous and a laborious life, with fasting and abstinence from wine and meat.” (Eusebius, church father, Demonstratio Evangelica or “Proof of the Gospels”, Book III, Chapter 5)
Peter said, “I use only bread and olives, and rarely pot-herbs” (Clementine Homilies 12.6)
The Clementine Homilies is a collection of sermons which Clement is supposed to have sent from Rome to James, the Lord's brother, preceded by two letters from St Peter and Clement also addressed to James, and instructions for the correct use of the work. They describe Clement's travels in the East, when he met Peter and witnessed his conflict with Simon Magus
