,In the 2019-6-12 protest against the Hong Kong Extradition Law, an around 60-year-old, unarmed, lung cancer stage III, male patient called Old Ng, while reprimanding the police in Admiralty near the Government Headquarters, was shot without warning in the belly by the police with rubber bullets. He at once fell down and was dragged by the police to a corner, thrown to the ground, and , further kicked and punched. He was then sent to Queen Mary Hospital General Ward. On June 13, he was transferred to the Custodial Ward. According to his daughter Frances, Old Ng takes part in protests because he wants to protect the younger generation. "If no one speaks out this time," he told Frances, "Hong Kong will have no future!" (Based on Appledaily's 2019-6-14 report; pic credit: Lui Lui Chan, HK01)
Old Ng also suffers from asthma and epilepsy. A few months ago, during a court hearing of the 2016 Lunar New Year Mongkok Police-civilian Clash, Old Ng, as one of the audience, told HKBNews' reporter that he was not afraid of being arrested for taking part in demonstrations against China colonization of Hong Kong. "If they kill me now, it will be the end of my whole lifespan. Even if they don't, more than half of it is gone anyway."
