Preview, Session 40, Vegan Theology: Hunting from a Christly Perspective. Dr Chapman Chen

Dear All,

Rev. Prof. Andrew Linzey calls hunting “the anti-gospel of predation” (Linzey 1995, pp. 114–123). Rev. Richard Dunkerly contends that the biblical image of the hunter is closely associated with Satan, while its antithesis is the Good Shepherd, most fully embodied in Jesus Christ (Dunkerly 1991).
In Session 40 of our free online course, Vegan Theology, to be held on 11 October 2026 (Sunday), at 4:30 pm UK time, we will discuss hunting from the perspective of Vegan Theology. The discussion is expected to be very deep, intense, provocative, but respectful. You are strongly encouraged to join us.
P.S. 4:30 pm UK time = 11:30 am U.S. Eastern = 10:30 am U.S. Central = 9:30 am U.S. Mountain = 8:30 am U.S. Pacific (California)
God Bless,
Yours sincerely,
Chapman Chen, Ph.D.,
Course instructor
