As animal rights activist Wayne Hsiung points out in his Aug. 8, 2026 article, “Why Fauci Lied About Funding the Torture of Dogs”, on June 3, 2024, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis condemned Dr. Anthony Fauci and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for funding horrendous animal cruelty: citing experiments involving beagles and rabbits, the deliberate exposure of dogs to ticks, and procedures in which puppies’ throats were slit. In an invoice WCW made public on X, NIH funds covered 46 “cordectomies”—the surgical cutting of a dog’s vocal cords. The procedure, which has been censured by the American Veterinary Medical Association due to the danger of “[b]leeding, acute airway swelling, infection, coughing, gagging and aspiration pneumonia,” was not done for any medical reason. Instead, as admitted by NIH itself, it was carried out to “reduce noise” in a lab crowded with distraught dogs. The vivisectors hated to hear the beagles’ cries while they were coerced to ingest investigational drugs.Fauci was also co-author of a 1984 research involving the experimental infection of endangered chimpanzees with HIV. HIV tests of this kind were renounced by AIDS researchers and primatologists, including Jane Goodall, as overwhelmingly immoral, and the government ultimately discontinued the financial support. But Fauci never suffered any professional repercussions.

Look, God is love (1 John 4:8 NIV); God loves the world (John 3:16), including ALL His creation (Psalm 140, 145:9); Christ is compassion (Matthew 9:13; 12:7).

As argued by US theologian Donna Yarri (2005, p.113): “God values, loves, and cares about all animals…God does not care less about animals kept in cages in laboratories…God does not desire the suffering of God’s creatures…animals ultimately exist for the glory of God” (Yarri 2005, p.113). Animals have intrinsic value to God, rather than merely instrumental value for human purposes, such as their use in laboratories (ditto).

That’s why Gandhi once wrote: "Vivisection is the blackest of all the black crimes that man is at present committing against God and his animal creations” (Young India, 17 December 1925).
