Go Vegan and Return to Eden. By Queen Inanna Snow. Ed. Dr. Chapman Chen

Queen Inanna Snow, a Californian vegan prophetess and founder of the Shasta Vegan Community, published a powerful poem on returning to the vegan Eden on June 12 this year. I am deeply grateful to Inanna for granting me permission to repost it here. The title and the following introductory stanza have been added by me as a tribute to her.

In the beginning, beauty was sacred, and desire was innocent.

She is Queen—not the temptress, but the guardian of peace,

a loving friend to animals, a vessel of divine allure,

inviting us to return—not just to Eden, but to harmony with all life. ~Chapman Chen

In the beginning,

In the early day,

Inside Mother Earth,

Peace was the way

Animals and humans

Played and lived free

Instead of hunting,

There was love and harmony!

Let's return to that bliss,

 Let's restore Eden's state,

By going vegan

And leaving animals off your plate

We were made to be an example and guide,

Not a monster from which animals run and hide!

A better world starts with what you're eatin'

Return to Peace, Return to Eden.
