The Scroll of Peace. Dr. Chapman Chen

Beneath the light of morning skies,

Two hearts attend where wisdom lies.

The Christ of Love, with tender hand,

Unfolds the Word, makes silence stand.

Beside Him sits, with gaze serene,

Magdalene, both strong and keen.

Her beauty shines, her spirit free,

A flame of truth and dignity.

Around their feet, the creatures rest—

The lamb, the ox, the gentle guest.

The piglet small, the dove in flight,

The chicken bathed in golden light.

Here Eden breathes, the curse undone,

The scroll proclaims: all life is one.

Compassion’s song, both firm and sweet,

In Christ and Magdalene complete.
