The Vegan Kingdom of God Within. By Dr Chapman Chen

Jesus advises us to seek the Kingdom of God first (Matthew 6:33). The Kingdom of God must incorporate and unite the vegan Eden (Genesis 1:29) with the peaceable New Heaven and New Earth (Revelation 21:1), where violence has ceased and harmony is restored. In the prophetic vision of God’s redeemed creation, “the wolf shall dwell with the lamb” (Isaiah 11:6; cf. Isaiah 65:25).

In the Garden of Eden, God prescribes a vegan diet for humanity (Gen. 1:29). In the New Heaven and New Earth, predation and bloodshed are abolished, and all creatures live in peace. But where, then, is the Vegan Kingdom of God? How may we find it?

Jesus has again given us a clear instruction: “The Kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:21). Therefore, we are not to seek it primarily outside ourselves, but within. Infinite peace, infinite compassion, infinite love, infinite harmony, and infinite supply are the very substance of our being (cf. Goldsmith 1947). For “Ye are gods” (John 10:34; cf. Psalm 82:6), and “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30), as Jesus himself declares.

Only when we are centred in the Vegan Kingdom within can we meaningfully seek to transform the external world. In this way, even when we are ignored, ridiculed, challenged, or pushed around by anti-vegan forces, we are still able to navigate life from a place of unshakable peace and compassion.

Relax. External circumstances must eventually reflect our internal alignment with the vegan divine presence—the Vegan Kingdom within. The outer world will mirror the inner truth (cf. Goldsmith 1947), and the world will steadily progress towards veganism.
